We're Going Keyless In 2026

We’re Going Keyless in 2026!

Big news, starting January 1, 2026, The Dog’s Pajamas will officially transition to a keyless business for all cat sitting and dog walking clients! This change has been in the works for a while, and we’re excited to make our visits even smoother, safer, and more efficient for everyone.

Why We’re Making the Switch

Over the years, we’ve managed hundreds of client keys — and while we’ve always taken great care to keep them organized and secure, keyless entry offer a few major advantages:

  • Improved security: No more keys changing hands or getting misplaced.

  • Streamlined scheduling: Your sitter can access your home safely and quickly, even if your schedule changes.

  • Peace of mind: You control your home’s access with your own code or lockbox.

What You’ll Need to Do

If you previously provided two keys during your meet and greet:

  • You’ll now need to provide a lockbox or another keyless entry method (such as a smart lock or garage code).

  • One of your keys will be placed inside your lockbox for sitter access.

  • The second key will remain securely stored at our office as a backup.

If you’re already using a smart lock, garage keypad, or another code-based system — great! Just make sure your codes are up to date before your next scheduled visit.

A Quick Note About Backups

Technology is wonderful… until it isn’t. That’s why we always recommend having a backup key available — even if you’re using a smart lock or keypad. Power outages, dead batteries, or software glitches can happen, and we want to ensure your pets are never left waiting.

Need Help Setting Up a Lockbox?

We’re happy to help! You can purchase a lockbox directly from us or use your own. If you’d like us to install one for you, just let us know and we’ll make it easy.

Thank You for Adapting with Us

We truly appreciate your cooperation as we make this transition. Going keyless is just one more way we’re working to provide secure, reliable, and stress-free pet care for you and your furry family members.
