The Dog's Pajamas was born out of a need to provide pet owners with another low-stress option for pet care. After a personal negative experience kenneling our dogs, we knew keeping our pets in their familiar home environment would help them stay peaceful, relaxed, happy, and in the routine in which they thrive when we're away.
The feedback we hear most often is the peace of mind our clients have while they are away knowing their pets and home are well taken care of. We're proud of the relationships we've built with our pet families and would be honored to build one with you, too! We value continued education
All of our sitters undergo continued education and training to ensure consistent and quality care for your pets, and have completed over 10 hours of Fetchfind online pet care training.

I haven’t always been a dog person, but my husband begged for a puppy in 2005, not even two weeks after we moved into our first house. I became a crazy dog mom and I’ve never looked back. Fast forward 18 years, 6 dogs, and 5 cats later...
The Dog's Pajamas was founded to give other pet owners an option for more personalized and less stressful care for their pets. That’s why I started my pet sitting business…to help YOU do better for your pets. Because they mean the world to us.
Chrissy H.
Chrissy is a do-it-all mom: works all day and is a sports mom by night. She has 3 dogs of her own and in her spare time, or as she likes to call it, ‘me time,’ she enjoys caring for other people’s pets and working for TDP.

After retiring from zookeeping, Karen packed up a car full of pets & moved to Richmond to be near family. As a client of TDP, she knows the peace of mind this service provides and is excited to be part of the team.

Lisa has 2 kids, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a flock of chickens with a rescue Guinea Fowl. In her free time, she likes to watch her kids play sports, play fetch with her dogs, love on her chickens, and take pictures. By day, she is a Special Education teacher.
