Come Join Our Team!

Updated: Dec 28, 2023

We've seen a lot of growth this past year, much more than was ever anticipated. Turning people away is extremely disappointing, but there is only so much room on our schedule with a small team of sitters. Plus, we need time off, too.

What qualities make a great pet sitter?
  • Reliability: pets and their owners depend on us to show up for each and every visit scheduled. This isn't the typical job where someone else will cover your shift while you're on vacation or out sick. While cross-training is ideal, not every sitter has been to every client's home and knows their pets.

  • Work independently: once trained and onboarded, sitters must be able to manage their time while making visits on their own.

  • Detail-oriented: it's important to notice the small things, big things, and everything in between.

  • Great communication: clients look forward to the updates after each visit. It's how we keep our human clients connected to their furry clients while they're away.

What does the hiring process look like?
  1. Job application: questions pertaining to experience, availability, and even a question where the applicant has to type up a message to a client to check grammar.

  2. Phone interview and/or in-person interview: dependent on the applicant and their application.

  3. Shadow Visits: gives the applicant a first-hand look at what we do.

  4. Reference & Background check: pretty self-explanatory, but necessary.

  5. Job Offer

  6. Orientation

  7. Training
